Alo Yoga recently dropped a new, super cute set that has everyone jumping at the chance to get their hands on it. I’m not kidding when I say, everyone is buying this set. I saw it online and saved it. About two weeks later, I go to purchase the set with excitement when I realize it is sold out online. I went to the Alo store in Manhattan to purchase the Alo Tennis Skirt the next day, and they said they sell out of the set every time it hits the store racks. I was looking to buy the Alo Tennis Skirt with the Lavish Bra, which also sells out quickly. Why is everyone obsessing over Alo Yoga’s new set and how did they become so popular?
I noticed some notable influencers sporting Alo Yoga pieces, starting with Kendall Jenner on her Instagram.
In the past, Alo has seen major celebs wearing their brand, such as Hailey Bieber, Taylor Swift, and Gigi Hadid.

The Set Review
I bought the Lavish bra and the Varsity Tennis skirt to wear together as a set, but you could really come up with any combination of their pieces you’d like to purchase together. Most of their pieces can be mixed and matched. The two pieces came in some nice wrapping in the mail, pictured below.
I bought a size Medium in both and they fit pretty well – the top was a little snug, but I think the large would be too big.
The skirt is super comfortable, with spandex shorts attached underneath the skirt for easy wear throughout the day. One annoying this about the skirt is that the waist band folds over itself, which became wrinkled in that position by the end of the day. So if you plan on wearing this set for the entire day, be aware that your waistband may crease over itself unless you are super human and have perfect posture.
The top is comfortable for walking, but I wouldn’t wear it running. It was a little more showy than a normal sports bra, so it’s definitely more for style than for working out, in my opinion. Anyways, I wore this set walking around NYC for an entire day and felt comfortable the entire time. It’s a cute alternative to a real sports bra when you know you’ll be doing low-impact cardio the whole day.
The set gives me Lulu Lemon vibes without being quite as basic (no offense to Lulu wear-ers, I’m a Lulu fan as well). I’d say the quality was pretty high quality, the skirt is soft and well designed, the top with padding, and a cute design of the straps that makes it feel different than your normal sports bra.
I have to be honest and say I was extremely excited for this set and had high expectations for it, so I give this set a 7.5/10. It did not entirely live up to my expectations because I set them too high before I got the set (my mistake), and the waistband folding over on the skirt after a day of wear felt annoying to me. Aside from that, the design was 10/10 and the materials were 10/10 as well. I would (and am planning to) purchase the set in white in the future.
